any type of extension or exercises like floor presses give them a lot of pain that lasts for a day or two

i benefitted a lot from floor presses, but my elbows acting up isn't worth it

i stopped going tate presses, rolling db extensions, skullcrushers, etc

mainly just rack lockouts or close grip benching now

I can't do rack lockouts without thrashing my elbows. With board presses, I could go maybe a week or two before the pain was so bad. Got so bad that I would have to slather a shit of blue heat on my elbows and then put my sleeves on even if I just wanted to do some bullshit accessory work like rowing and pulldowns :(

Right now with just close grip and then doing a shitload of pushdowns and stuff, this is the first time in awhile that I've been pain free in the elbow area.

rack lockouts bother my shoulders far more than my elbows for some reason

i'll wind up tearing something or another soon enough

not for a while. i've been having good gains with my bench in the recent weeks after doing a lot of decline and pause rep work. i'd like to get in the upper 300's before, but i might wind up getting a good single ply for beginners before that

i'm not really too worried about my shoulders because i make sure to get in enough rotator cuff work and it's never in pain after i do rack lockouts. but i'm probably asking for an injury :o

    6 weeks ago i was at 265 for 1
    2 weeks ago i hit 287 for 2

in the last two weeks i was doing decline and went up by 20 lbs for a 5m

so i should be good for over 300 which is why i'm still embarassed to post about it
