I couldn't do chest or backwork yesterday, so I thought about just doing arms instead. I don't want to risk a nasty injury, since this already seems to be reoccuring, but i don't want to be a bitch and not workout.

Your thoughts? How do you know when you are too injured to lift?

Re-occuring pain? Probably should see a doctor about that.

You could simply try giving yourself a solid two-three weeks off from any shoulder related work depending on how painful it is. Staying off it for a week is not going to really do that much.

You need to figure out what's wrong with it and then take the appropriate course of action. If you do nothing to correct what's causing the problem it's always going to return.

:wtc: If you had shoulder pain, would you still work arms?

Well it depends on the motion... most arm movements somehow involve your shoulders. I'd just focus on legs for a couple of weeks. Don't wanna risk injuring it again.

it just fucking kills me not to work out. I never take off more than one day per week, and today makes two days in a row. I really feel like a lazy piece of shit.

Good point. I know I had no problem when I hurt my shoulder pressing, but it's possible it wouldn't work for him.

for healthy shoulders, your volume of rows + external rotations should be greater than your volume of pressing variations + pullups/pulldowns + shrugs

I do pretty much those same exercises except a few, and lately my shoulders have been givin me problems as well.

Today was my shoulder day and i started off with dumbell military press, and then went to front raises. On my 2nd set of front raises my shoulders really started to burn. I'm not talkin about the good burn thats usually felt, I'm talkin about a bad burn where it fucked with my performance on my other 2 sets of front raises and my 3 sets of delt flys after. I was actually thinkin about leavin the gym.

I did 3 sets of face pulls and then the pain went away.

After the face pulls i did 4 sets of shrugs and still didnt have a problem.

Could this possibly be something to worry about?

Maybe you arn't training hard enough. If you were you wouldn't want to go to the gym.

your routine sucks> Not seeing any rows , no rotator movements, too many flies for chest day, you don't need front raises,
