i've seen a vid of timber doing it, and read it on gt's log as well, what's the purpose of dislocating the shoulder? i have a bad left one due to injury back in hs... and it slides out during certain motions, stress on the joint.

so i guess my question is, what's the benefit of doing them?

you aren't actually dislocating the shoulder, that's just the name of the exercise. it's meant to stretch the muscles around the shoulder that restrict range of motion.

just looking at it looked painful for me, though i remember being able to do them(or something very similar) as a lil kid, now it looks like it'll tear my shoulder a new one.:noes:
