just installed mandriva, it's cool and all, but doesn't seem like it supports all my hardware correctly. I hear about unbuta or something else...

basically i like mandriva and the possibility of fedora because of the gui. I can't do squat with a command line interface right now, so any distro i have needs to use a good gui.

Most of them come with one by default. And if not you can always install an X Windows Manager yourself.

I'd recommend Ubuntu. I haven't had any serious hardware recognition problems with it (only machine where it had any difficulty is my girlfriend's Toshiba laptop - and those issues were easily fixed).
