On Thursday, July 5, General Motors will set up a one- mile test circuit from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Drivers can choose from more than 20 models, including the hot-selling Pontiac Solstice and Saturn Sky roadsters and the all-new GMC Acadia and Saturn Outlook crossovers.

Drivers will be able to choose from among a wide variety of cars, trucks and SUVs from Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Pontiac, HUMMER and Saturn.

A professional driver will sit in the passenger seat to ensure the optimum and safest experience. :squint:

I work at a GM dealership. Don't. We fill our cars with AIDS before you drive it.

They didn't show a full list of the 20 cars, I was hoping for a C6 or GTO but doubt either will be there. :sad2:

Not that I get to beat on them, I'll have a professional bugging me for the mile. :squint:

that's gay! Couple of years ago they had this I love bens tour and they took over the parking lot at six flags where you can drive all their cars. Omg I was gunning the shit out of the sl500. I hit this one bend so fast taht the back tire slipped a little and caught a cone. The guy gave me one of those :nono: looks and told me to calm down a bit lol. That was the fastest i've even driven, i think i hit 125 at one point (or atleast thats what my cousin that was sitting in the passenger seat said)

If they're using campus for the test course the speed limit is 15mph.

Could keep the brakes on and hold the gas to see how high it'll go before launching in the auto but I'd probably get yelled at before the cars got to that point.

I did this on a closed circuit at vegas. Was kind of fun. Drove a STS-V CTS-V vette, for the cool ones.

GM had a set up like this in Vegas back in Sept last year. Except they had the new C6, STS-V, CTS-V, Solstice and the GTO for the road course and H2's and H3's, and also the new denali and a 4 door silverado Z71 for the off road course. It was a pretty cool experience. The sports cars had the option of 6 speed or slush box. The solstice felt like it was on rails and the STS-V felt like the fastest, even though it felt like a boat also
