I have the tamron 28-75 2.8 now, I dont really use the 50 1.8 anymore (I did when I only had the kit lens + the nifty fifty)

Anything that is really low light, i have flashes for now.

I am thinking that I could get rid of it, and put the $ towards some more lighting equipment.

    I guess if it matters

    I have 10-20 f/4-5.6
    28-75 f/2.8
    100-400 f/4.5-5.6 IS
    430ex
    285hv

I dunno if I should just keep it around for the few times I might have a use for it. I shoot mostly landscapes and nature, but im starting to break into portraits.

If it was the 1.4 or the 1.2, it might be worths selling. But the little amount you'll get for it isn't going to be worth selling it.

yea, its not really worth too much money, like what 60 or 70 shipped?

If it were the 1.4 or 1.2 id for sure keep it, I'll probably end up keeping it for the "just in case" factor. Its not like im super strapped on money (but damn close)

I was really just thinking, if I sold my kit lens, and the 50 1.8 then a 2nd 430ex will only cost me like $100 + $20 for another cactus trigger receiver.

:dunno: i sold my 50 1.8 for 60 shipped on here when i upgraded to the 50 1.4, which i prefer over my tamron 28-75 for portraits. :o then again, i really need to send my copy to tamron to have them re-calibrate it as its never been very sharp, even stopped down to f8 or so.

edit - figures, i sold it cheap to slimeball now he's gonna throw it on ebay for more :o

Exactly. I've been wanting to sell my 1.4 for months.....I just can't bring myself to do it.

I'll buy your 50 1.8 from you. I've been looking for one. As long as it's EOS mount and not FD mount, then I'm definitely interested. PM me

I rarely use mine but since it was so cheap, it's not really worth selling.

I'd have an easier time convincing myself to just throw it at some random stranger passing by than sell it. It'd be easier to just throw it as someone as well.

I'm really looking forward to my first piece of glass other than my kit lens. It's a cheaper priced lens, but it's a place to start!
