    Yes upgrae to SP2.

IE has some different options--such as pop-up-blocker, and its more secure. Um the wireless network deal is different and a lot nicer I think.

SP2 fixes alot of shit and problems with XP, I say go for it.

The problems that I have heard of consist of users having problems with programs running. Well they don't understand the use of the firewall. If a program doesn't work, it most likely just because of the firewall. All you have to do is simply allow that program to pass through the firewall and your set.

I'm sorry if this odesn't make since, I'm just a tad drunk--but Im still trying to answer your question :coold:

Am I the only person who thinks that IE SP2 is just as shitty as IE SP1?

Uhhm yeah sp2 is fine if you don't have an emachine laptop, then sp2 fries your entire partition and you can't log on to do a system restore. You have to reformat. SP2 = teh lose

I installed sp2 on my home computer, and my brand new laptop with not problems. I also have another labtop that i am renting for school. Other people in my class tired to install sp2 and it crashed their labtop. So i am not going to install it on the lap top from school.

I installed, then uninstalled SP2. I guess I'm one of the few, but it slowed down my computer and my internet started flipping out. Try it, and if you don't like it, uninstall it.

The internet security issues can be handled by simply switching to Firefox.
