I'm thinking about buying a Nikon FM10 very soon..
I have a Fujifilm finepix 2.1 MP that I bought a few years back but I would like something with more options and more resolution. It was like 250 when I bought it :( silly technology!

If I don't by an FM10 I might get another digi camera for Christmas..probably worth up to $400.

Can I get much of a digital camera for 400?Will it compare at all to the FM10?I used the FM10 back in high school and loved it.I dislike this Fuji camera with such few options and the lower resolution :(

    Thanks for your assistance!!!

Should I got with the FM10 or should I get another SLR ???

what do you think you need and what do you think you'll get the most out of?

i've come across this situation alot where i have friends who are questioning their current arsenal.

what are you going to be using it for? hobby? vacation photos? just a camera to carry around with you?

    as a hobby.
I take lots of picutres with my digital 2.1 MP camera but I would like them to be clearer.

I'm not sure what I need.As I said I had an FM10 for photography in high school and it worked pretty good for me..However I dont know if the newer style cameras make life a lot easier or what??

    You don't need life a lot easier. manual SLR > * :)

Just takes practice to set exposure/aperture and focus with a film camera in time.

The main downside for 35mm is the ongoing cost for processing, delay in processing and it's in print form (although lots of places scan them too for not very much). Digital is SO convenient but 35mm is great for when you're doing it for enjoyment.

I just started taking photos again, bought zoom lens off ebay should be arriving soon :bigthumb:

I got my digital Sony DSC-P92 brand new 5.0mp camera off ebay for 369 shipped. Its a bad ass camera and does everything i want it to do. It doesnt have a load of manual options but it takes great pictures.

Get the both of best worlds... digital slr... the Canon EOS 10d, I love it, though the body is $1500, so you would need to buy a lens or two (to start with) and a compact flash card (or two) also... so excpect to spend around $2100 if you want to buy that.
