I only get a new computer every so often. My last laptop was after about 4 years and it was just a budget POS inspiron. That needs a new motherboard now after one year :ugh:

So I'm going for something more reliable but I want it to be future proof. I'd use the laptop mostly for work. That would involve some image editing but nothing to fancy.

Do you think I should spring for the i5 or will I be happy with a C2D in the 13? Before the update I wanted the 13 but thought they'd get the i3 or i5. Compact is good for travelling to conferences.

I don't want any regrets that's all :wtc:

Mac virgin apart from iPhone which is sold now here.

I bought the 15" (previous generation), I like the larger screen.

15 because of the i5 and get the matte screen rather than glossy

I have the 13" unibody MacBook and I wish I got the 15" MBP... If you are going to be editing images you will appreciate the extra 2", especially if you get the high-res display (1680x1050)

spending on a 15 is one time pain.
regretting the small screen and i5, that's every time you flip the lid up.

I might be coming to the US in September for a vacation. The MBP15 is about $350 cheaper there :ugh:
