Well i like graphic design, i know mac is the best platform for PS, but how about the macromedia studio and 3d design, is it good for say mayasoftware.

I dont play alot of games but id like to have the sims 2 and maybe counterstrike, how big is the game platform for mac? how about compatibility with p2p programs, and maybe i2hub.

Also which laptop would you reccomend?

yeah, you will rarely see someone come in here asking if they should get a mac and get a bunch of "no's". I think the only time that has happened was when someone mentioned they wanted to keep it as a gaming platform.

and to answer your question, 15-17" powerbook and do at least a 1gb of ram. you'll be incredibly happy with your purchase.

Wow only problem is apple likes to charge a bit for their performance, so i hope i can get enough cash to buy a 15" pb,17" would be great but too big, along with the 1gb ram and superdrive, is the superdrive dual layer btw? god i really want one of these now.

I'm pretty sure the Superdrive is not dual layer yet.

Oh, and you'll love a Powerbook. I haven't had mine for two months yet and I'm in fuckin' love with it.

Adobe bought Macromedia. Mac's rule the professional graphic arts & digital imaging world. If that's what you want do for a living you should buy one.
