I'm interested in this 93 green Trans Am Formula.

    Here are some specs:

    • $6,000
    • completely stock
    • auto
    • 64,XXX miles
    • Engine is spotless besides rust on headers
    • idles smoothly
    • cloth seats
    • needs tires (current ones won't hold air)
    • scratches here and there, but will get repainted anyways
    • broken passenger mirror, easy to fix but it is also cracked
    • few interior damages, but nothing remotely significant
    • hard top
    • tape player
    • interior looks and smells clean
    • pop up lights are a tiny bit crooked
I'm looking for modding this car, starting with "Best Buy" mods (CD player, alarm system, remote start/unlock). I'm then getting full exhaust (with headers) and a ram air hood. For looks it will be painted blue (don't know the exact shade, but A blue color), new rims, better tires.

    Should I get it?

It's going to be my daily driver too. Figured it being a pontiac and about 12 years old would make the parts (OEM at least) relatively cheap to replace, at least compared to my e30.

i see...parts should definately be pretty cheap and still pretty easy to find and it seems like the car is in good enough condition to drive after the few things are fixed

:wiggle: Already found a store with enough parts to build a complete long block.

I dunno, depends how deals in your area are. I got my 94 TA for 7200, really not anything wrong with it. 67k, Leather Seats, good condition inside, new paint job. Some other guy tried to sell his 94 TA for 6500 for a while, about the same as mine, darn good condition. The leather seats is one thing I love, up to you of course though! I'd look around a little first to see if you see anything else you like better, unless you're afraid of that one selling. 6k is pretty cheap.

Autotrader and cars.com keep popping up LT1's with 90k miles for this price range. Even if I pop up the price range to 10k, it's still hard to find an Lx1 with this little miles.
