Anyone know of anything good thats upcoming or should I just go to the store and buy whatever.

Im thinking of either a netbook or something with a good battery life. Its going to be mostly used for school so im thinking a netbook might not be comfortable enough I dont know.

What are you trying to get out of your laptop? I'm a big fan of buying these $500 laptops. They do everything I need, and I don't feel bad throwing them away in 2-3 years and getting a new one. Technology moves too fast to spend 1-2k on a laptop in my mind.

I didn't know they made a 9-cell for it. But if they do then that sounds awesome!
I had a EeePc 1000h for a few months and it was awesome for taking notes in class and I even wrote a few papers on it. You get used to the keyboard really fast. Gave it to my mom though since she's getting leg surgery needs a small laptop.

Yeah, it's a bitch trying to type on a big laptop with only one foot. Too much back-and-forth moving from one side of the keyboard to the other.

The HP 2140 is a seriously solid and beautiful netbook. It fits this thread well because you can either get it now with the standard resolution or wait for them to come out with the HD 780p version in a month or two.
