This will be through Best Buy. $99 for 4 years. I'm on the verge of buying the kit there for $899 but on the fence about buying the service plan or not.

I took advantage of the replacement plan I bought for my old Olympus C-4000 when it broke.

It's on sale right now for $949.99. Go here to get another $50 off: http://www.bestbuy.com/order

They only have the silver model though, but a lot places are charging about $50 more for the black while the silver model is significanly discounted. Fucking retarded. :hs:

I would get it. In 4 years your camera will break and they'll give you a new Rebel. :o

If you say no they'll ask you like 20 more times and then call you an idiot for not buying it. Happened to me, so I walked out in the middle of the transaction :hsugh:

you are an idiot for not buying it.

you can get a new camera no questions asked in 4 years if ANYTHING goes wrong and they don't have your model on the shelves.

teh digital rebel is a replace only item. they will not even bother attempting to service it. You just walk out wiht a new one.

You have the option of going back and adding it within 14 days. I used to work at Best Buy and although I hated selling PSPs and usually dont buy them I would say it's worth it in this case. Worse comes to worse your camera could have an "unfortunate accident" in like 3 years and 9 months and then you'd get a brand new one.

$100 for a 4 year plan is a good deal, I'd get it.

Thanks all for helping me reaffirm my decision. I went ahead and bought the 350D and will be purchasing the service plan when I go pick it up.

For some odd reason, my last 2 digital broke and I used the service plan on both of them. Now I have a Canon Pro1. :) Will be looking into filters and lenses soon. :)
