Presently cutting. 210lbs, down from 235. 75 min of cardio every night, 6 meal diet with lots of chicken and green stuff. I'm right on target for losing 1-3lbs a week.

    As far as supps, taking

    - Lean Green (2x500mg)
    - VitE (1x400iu)
    - Calcium (2x650mg)
    - MultiV (1 daily)
    - Fish Oil (3x1000mg)
    - At least 40-60g of Protein coming from Whey daily..

I'm thinking of uping the Lean Green to 3 times a day. I've noticed some great changes both physically and mentally from it thus far.

I'm thinking of adding ALCAR and Sesamin to the mix to help the fat loss and metabolism along. Do you guys think its a good idea or a waste? I'm also concerned about Sesamin's effect on libido.

I'm definitely headed towards the ALCAR.. just on the fence about Sesamin (but combining threads ;) )

I really want this weight off.. :hs: I am trying to get down to about 185 and lean before I start really building.

I've enjoyed the results and physical changes from all the cardio. I started by doing 30 minutes, barely. Complained most of the time, dreaded doing it, etc. Now I'm doing 75 minutes, high resistance (elliptical most of the time, resistance of 7 or 8)..

Nothing wrong with all the cardio.. Will never hurt ;)

Unfortunately, I don't have access to free weights, only Paramount circuit equipment.. If I start lifting, I want to be able to do dead lifts, squats, etc etc etc.

I am trying to buy a house, so keeping my bills low is high priority. Once I buy a house, I can get into a gym and start changing things around.

Back on topic - Opinions on the ALCAR?

If you're gonna do that much cardio I'd break it up into two sessions. But that's just me :p

Plus I hate doing cardio for that long too, bores the hell out of me.

Why do you recommend breaking it up?

    Real funny, ass.

Usually I do 30-45 minutes at a time. I'd break it up mostly because doing 75 minutes at once would drive me insane.

    :o

The 75min doesn't bother me. There are two TV's directly in front of the elliptical, so I'll turn NCAA on one screen (sound off) and watch TBS on the other screen; and work my ass off.

By the end I can barely walk, but feels worth it.

    :o

I didn't say I couldn't afford it.. I'm trying to keep the obvious monthly expenses down. (Another bill)

An extra 20-30 at walmart every month won't kill.

ceaze read that taking lean green all at once has shown better results.

so, instead of 1 pill 3x a day. do 3 pills, once a day.

3 pills all at once may be too much though. I do 2 lean green pills before working out

    Yes.. The Lean Green.

I went to Vitamin Shoppe to get the ALCAR and the Lean Green. They didn't know what either was.. I finally found the L-Carnitine, but it was not the acetyl type, and it was also nearly $30 for a bottle (500mg, Vitamin Shoppe brand)..

    I'll stick to BN.

  19. Don't bother with acetyl L-carnitine. I would up the fish oil to 8g/day, add 200mg of caffeine, and ditch the vitamin E.

Reasons for all of the above?

I take VitE for the antioxidents, please helps against health disease and also helps reduce muscle damage after exercise.

I want ALCAR for metabolism boost...

And why caffeine? I don't need the energy. I'm never tired..?

I don't see anything wrong with what you're doing now.

Just make sure you're eating quality foods. No need for supplemental aid imo.

Lean green is worth it just for antioxidant properties even if you're not cutting.

    Thanks.. I agree.

Tons of chicken, tuna, and green stuff. ;) Broc, Cauliflower, and green beans have been my friend.

  23. It's very easy to get a lot of vitamin E and carnitine from diet alone. Caffeine will boost your metabolism a lot.
