The real advantage of RAW is that I have more control over the colors, but should I switch from L to L&RAW?

I dont see a purpose of using L+Raw because it just takes up more space and you can always save a high quality jpg from the Raw file itself on the computer during PP. Why waste more space on your memory card?

I use both right now because my laptop isn't fast enough to process pics in a timely manner. When I am at home I will use just Nef.

Wasn't aware that I could use RAW alone, till I checked it out.

I am using RAW now, anyways.

Now, its off to start picture hunting.

I usually shoot S+Raw, its easier than converting a bunch of raw shit to jpg for preview purposes.

That's what I do if I'm traveling since my laptop sucks. I quick preview them, then ones I like go into Lightroom and get processed... slowly.

i could understand that i guess. but with a media card reader 2gbs of RAW images takes about 5mins tops. Once they're loaded previewing them is virtually the same amt of time whether its raw or jpg.

When I don't have time to pp every single shot I want to upload, having the small jpeg is useful for putting up a few pics up quickly onto a blog, email them out, etc. Of course in the end I go back to the RAW version
