Two different shooters, shots still go left. We moved the rear sight to the left, and shot way left, and then to the right, and still shot left. Trigger pull isn't an issue it seems based on the fact two shooters got the same results. Is it possible the front sight is canted? What other conditions could make this happen? Consistently 1-1.5 inches left at 25 yards.

is this before or after you've actually zero'd in the sights?

Was it sandbagged to the bench? What kind of sights are you trying to zero? laser, notch and post. If so are they fixed or back ups?

You moved the rear sight the wrong way. If it's shooting to the left move the rear sight right or the front sight left.

Dunno, I don't have one but that was just general advice because every gun is different. On my AK only the front sight adjusts for windage.

Not sandbagged but had my forearm on the bench, so it was pretty stable, although I wish my indoor range had some. Trying to zero in regular M4 Irons/Carry handle, so notch and post. It's a removable carry handle.

Rear site moves opposite the direction you need POI to move. Front sight moves in the same direction you need the POI to move.

I've read some of the newer bushy had canted sights so that could be your problem. My bushy ate wolf with no problems, wolf is inconsistent it'll be a little all over the place compared to better ammo, wouldn't blame the ammo for this problem.

Even if the front site is canted, you should be able to make up for it by adjusting the rear sight.

While zeroing in. The front sight post is to adjust elevation. The rear is to adjust horizontal alighnment.

If it's off to the left, and it's not user error, move the back sight to the right, until it's zeroed.

I see you stated you did this. Did it get closer to be zeroed? Or was the rear sight aperature maxed out to the right?

Also, what kind of groups were you getting at 25yards? I hope all those shots are at least touching. Also, did you make sure the carry handle is locked on tight?

What? Use this thread as an example, POI is too far left.

We want POI to move right, so we move the rear sight to the left? That would make it shoot further left? Same with moving the front sight to the right.

If POI is left you'd want to move the rear sight to the right, or front sight to the left.

I suck at reading lol. I thought he said he was hitting left so he moved the sights to the left to fix it. Moving the REAR sight to the left would move the POI even further left.

I have to do this everytime I adjust sights. I hold up one hand in front of the other, the back one makes a 'V' with two fingers (like the rear sights) and the one in front just has one finger (the front sight.) It's much easier to visualize which way the sights need to go when I do that

Yeah I have to do that frequently, too. Just yesterday my POI was a little high so I moved the front sight down and all of a suddent I wasn't hitting paper anymore. :hs: The finger check is always right. :hs:

Backwards. Move the rear sight the direction you want the hits to move.
    Move the front sight opposite.

Want to move hits right? move rear sight right, or front sight left. Try simulating it with your hands, make a V with 2 fingers of one hand, hold up one finger of the other. Line them up like sights, then move one hand and see what happens, then the other.

Wait, what? After all this talk, I'm confusing myself.

The way I'm picturing it, It's opposite to line it up.

Or maybe it's because it's 2:30AM and i need to go to bed...:o
    *edit*

It is because it's 2:30AM. What you said, is exactly what I said, just differently. :uh::o And I was reading it slightly out of context.

What i meant by opposite, as it which side you're off on. So if you're off to the left. You move your rear sight right. Now it makes sense. :uh::o
