I scored a free pass for giving blood and figured I'd go and play with my 300D a little.
Holy shit thoses are so crisp. what kind of camera you use?
Canon 300D aka Digital Rebel w/ the kit 18-55mm lens. I did some slight adjustments in photoshop (levels and slight color balanace change) and ran some through "Neat Image" to kill what noise was there.
did you use a tripod?
i'm actually planning on going to the Monterey Bay aquarium soon
Don't bother with a tripod. I took my monopod along with me but never even used it. Anything that is over 1/60s will result in a blurry fish. I bumped the ISO up to 800/1600 for most of the shots above.
Here's some more:
wow, those look great!
amazing you were able to get good enough lighting to take some of them!
I know, especially with the kit lens. Bumping the ISO worked out pretty good and I'm happy with what neat image did to kill some of the noise issues created at 1600 ISO.
/makes a mental note to visit tampa aquarium when his 20D arrives///
ooohhhhh I love the Florida Aquarium
what kind of post proccessing did you use on them ?
wow, thats great!
you should really get in to diving, y know
adjusted levels in photoshop and removed the noise in "Neat Image"
did 'neat image' come with your camera ?
no it's freeware online.
