GUN Shotgun Crew v. Dad gave me his shotgun

    My dad gave me his Ithaca Model 37 Featherlight that he bought in 1972 over thanksgiving. It hasn't been fired in over 20 years. I took it apart tonight and went through the gun top to bottom cleaning and lubing everything.

    If the weather holds I'm going pheasant hunting for the first time ever this weekend with a friend of mine...

    Not a great picture because my girlfriend has my camera but here is a camera phone shot....

    my father in law has the same shotgun. we were gonna take it out last week, but didn't :wtc:

    Nice, I have one that my grandfather gave me that he bought new in the mid 50's. I shoot clays with it all the time.

    Hopefully get something. My first time actually hunting. Also bringing the AR with as I guess there was a good amount of coyotes around today when my buddy was out.

    12 guage?

    My dad has the same gun in 20 guage (dunno if same model number, but same style, bought around the same year) that I shot my first bird with when I was about 9
