Just purchased an 870 express magnum. Where can i get some decent ammo online for decent price. Looking mixed buck and slug. Some ranges in the area only allow slug.

i was thinking about purchasing a mag extension, and sling. Where would be the best place to purchase?

Any recommendations on the sling? there is no rear mount on the stock, so not sure which one to purchase.

Why do you need a sling?

    I've got this sling...

...came with front plate and it wraps around the rear factory stock. Sturdy enough in my opinion.

You can get the extension from Tactical Response Gear and it'll probably get to your door before the sling is even processed from Stubby Gear.

Go with a factory Remington mag extension either midwayusa or brownells should have it.

Also be sure to use a magazine clamp, I prefer quality ones and don't like uncle mike's and the other cheap ones.

I have a Scattergun Tech. tube extension on mine. Solidly built and nicely finsihed... no complaints. If remember right it was around $60, and included a new mag spring and high-vis follower.

Ammo wise, in terms of defensive ammo...Hornady TAP buckshot has given me the best pattern out my 18" 870. Federals LE Buckshot also usually gets high marks although I've not shot much of it. Slugs... dunno. I mostly shoot the inexpensive Winchester Super-X slugs. I don't have any dedicated "defensive" slugs.

best ammo i'd recommend is the federal flite control low recoil buckshot. you can find some very reasonably priced at ammunitiontogo.com

I just use Federal Premum and Vital-Shock for my buck/slugs. Its gone "bang" every time.

as for sling, I use a "sling system". I like it.

my rem870 came with a factory mag-tube extension

sorry that your range only allows slug... I practice a lil-bit with slug/buck but the majority of my shotty's actual firing use is for skeet. love it! I just pick up the 100-rnd value-pack remington/federals from walmart for that.
