    I've shot a mac-10 in .45 and thought it was a total pile

    I would never waste the money on a Mac-10. But I do have friends that have them. If you're into a fast shooting cheap all around machine gun. I guess they cant be beat.

    Everyone that I have seen shoot, you couldn't even run off a whole mag without a malfunction.

    This one however ran as smooth as can be. I wouldn't mind having one.

    A friend of mine use to have a semi one even semi it'de have an average of 2 malfuctions a mag.

    I wonder what they cost in 86 probably less then $500 not including tax stamp, the semi ones are like $325-350 new now.

    I paid $465 each for 2 in 95 (M11/9's). In 2002 I sold 192 of them for $1100 each. When they were gone is when the price started jumping. Then the Socom M249 upper almost came out, they doubled overnight. The one that made it onto the market didn't run, then ATF decided it was an MG and wanted it back, the guy got prosecuted for mail fraud, and the prices never came down.

    As far as function, they can be made to work easily. I had a Powder Springs M10/45 that didn't run, changed the recoil spring, and it was golden. The problem was, it as a 20 year old spring. When I took it off the recoil guide, it was 3" shorter than a new one. Talk about set.
