And came in 1st place :coold:

It wasn't anything big, just 5 people from the club I'm in who got together and wanted to shoot a smallbore-ish competition.

Targets were at 20 yards, the sheets with 11 targets are 1.5" in diameter; the sheets with 5 targets are 3.75" in diameter.

    Course of fire:

Stage 1: Prone, 10 scored shots on the surrounding targets, middle = sighter.
Stage 2: Sitting, 20 scored shots on the surrounding targets, middle = sighter.
Stage 3: Standing, 20 scored shots on the surrounding targets, middle = sighter.
Stage 4: Prone, 10 scored shots on the surrounding targets, middle = sighter.

60 total scored shots, 600 points possible.

    Stage 1 (prone):

I got 554/600 (using optics) for a first place win

2nd (using optics) place got 501, and 3rd place (top irons) got 481.

  2. Nice! Did you guys all get to zero your stuff at 20 yards beforehand?

Good score, but talk about a bass ackwards way to shoot a smallbore match.

  4. How so? I only shot smallbore once like 10 years ago, so I don't remember shit. That said, if this was just to have fun, then it doesn't really matter.

i think my 10/22 was zeroed at 25 from way back when, i went out on friday afternoon to confirm the zero.

the sighting targets also helped because we were able to shoot them as much as we wanted

Nothing wrong with having a fun match, but normally for a 3p match it would be 20 shots prone, 20 shots standing, and 20 shots kneeling. Distances normally are 50' or 50meters (or yards). I've just shot to many regular matches to shoot something that is setup different without going, wtf.

Also, I think I will be down in the Merced area next week, we should hit the range or something

    Gotcha.

I've been thinking about trying to start up a club out here, but I have a feeling the administration would just :rofl::rofl: at me.

Don't quit. It took us 2.5 years to become official. We actually had to argue with the UC's Office of the President and their lawyers in the Bay Area.

If you want it, it can be achieved
