A&P Shot I took the other day after work - critique / comments?

    I like it, but I'm not really sure if I think it's a "good" shot. Obviously the exposure is a little odd, but if it were any brighter I think it would lose the effect. Only thing I really don't like is it's a little busy. Anyway, feedback is good. Tear me a new one.

    I wonder how it'd look like if you tried desaturating everything but the flower in the foreground.

    Very nice. I think it would look better though if you cropped out the right side and got rid of the dead flower. The real subject matter is the yellow flower and the sun. You don't need anything else in the pic.

    :cool: I'll give that a shot and see how it looks. I don't want to lose the stem "leading into" the subject matter though...

    Its presence has a certain artistic and symbolic flair to it though. A dead flower withering in the background as the foreground is ablaze with the yellow youth of a living one.
