short bulk/cut cycles?

    What do you guys think of cycling short bulking then cutting periods. Like instead of bulking for a whole year then dieting 12 weeks :o

    Something like bulking 3-4 months, then cutting say 8-10 weeks and keep that going?

    I would think you could see small/gradual gains, instead of blowing up and cutting all the fat just to gain 5 lbs, you can still look good year round.

    Anyway, your opinions are appreciated

    just do high carb/low carb.

    high carb = heavy workout days
    low carb = rest days.

    can you give me some details and/or turnouts from this? My friend is actually doing this. Just won his second comp, tryin to get his pro card in this 3rd but he said he is doing 5 days high carb, 3 days low carb... whats the significance of this type of diet?
