:)Starting to Christmas shop and my dad mentioned something about a bipod for this rifle. But I am unaware of anything that would work on it? Also any sling suggestions? He wants to varmint hunt with it.

Specs: Lower: built with spare parts I had around and a B-day lower I got for him.
Upper: one he acquired through RRA. It’s a 24 inch bull barrel.

    any bipod will work

that little nipple on the bottom at the front is where it goes

I'm partial to the Harris BRM-S 6-9 but you could get anything really

the Rockmount bipod from Walmart is $40 and not bad

  3. +1

Look at a Harris S-BRM If you want to get fancy, get a PodLoc for it too. Then you'll have the advantage of the swivel with the sturdiness of the fixed one when you want it.

EDIT: The S-BRM + PodLoc is $118 from Brownells with the discount.

Excuse my newb-nes... But you guys are saying its no problem to mount to the front sling swivel? I have not messed around with bipods yet and they are a new to me :). I had no idea they mounted up like that.

And I think ill go with the harris and pod loc. I think he would like that.

  6. The bipods are designed to mount to the sling swivel.

I just found this pic online. This is a Harris with a podloc. The part that grabs the swivel are those little tabs sticking up in the upper left corner of the pic. They have little protrusions on them that grab the holes on the sling stud, then you just tighten the thumb screw on the bottom (can't see it in this pic) and that tightens the bipod against the rifle.
