I am shopping around to see if there are any better alternatives than Dreamhost(current). I am not liking them as much when it comes to installing stuff on the servers.

Anyways I have about 8-9 domain's I want to have hosted which can turn into a lot more.

I am working specifically with the latest and greatest Ruby on Rails with PHP and MYSQL.

I plan on eventually have a good chuck of streaming media and some picture intensive pages. I was curious if there are any really good hosting places for that.

    I was looking at
    bluehost.com
    http://hostmonster.com/

http://www.a2hosting.com/ (a lot less for dollar, but it was recommened)

Get a VPS. They're a little more than a hosted account but pretty reasonable for what you get. We recently got one through powervps.com and love it. Nothing like having root access and being able to rdp into your server.

powweb.com is kickin' right now. It has the best web based administration and options I've seen yet.
