I'm kinda baffled whetehr there is a solution for this or not.

    i have an S500 Canon

Indoor Shooting: i noticed that if i put it on Auto flash all the pictures come out nice and clear but if i don't then the slightest movement w/ my camera can make the image blurry or not as clearer as it would be w/ flash.

    Same w/ outdoor

Do i have to change any settings to make it clearer w/o worrying that it will come out blurry?

  2. I've done alot of dark indoor pics without flash, got a tripod and remote yet?

w/o a flash the camera is slowing down the shutter speed to try and capture enough light. with a p&s there isnt too much adjustment on what you can do with the shutter speed and aperture.

Why would you not use the flash?

This seems to be growing in popularity ... people spending money on everything but a flash. I just don't get it.
