do they even exist?
No there are absolutely no shooting competitions in California
So Cal is one of the 3 Mecca's in competition shooting.
These are just the matches I shoot. There are also bolt gun, sniper, nra high power, nra bullsye, trap, skeet, sporting clays, bench rest, cowboy, icore/revolver, and 50bmg/pojo.
Basicly any kind of shooting you can do on any given weekend and you even have a choice of clubs for said disipline. That and we shoot year round.
As far as black rifles we got a bunch of them here and This is one of the big 3 gun match states along with arizona and texas. So Cal has the several world and national champions in 3 gun open class, 3 gun tactical class, cowboy, ipsc modified, uspsa open, uspsa limited, etc
i'm going to hit one of those matches this summer.
If you mean San Francisco Sperm shooting contest, then yes. And goodluck!
Attendance there has really declined since Hoss made Grand Master a few years ago. Nobody else really has a chance.
What are the other 2?
arizona and texas
what about norcal. socal is weak.
Unfortunatly No Cal does not have the same shooting scene as So Cal. No Cal has some decent matches but So Cal has 20x more easily and in every disipline. For 3 gun or the other rifle disiplines it's about how much distance you can have. In So Cal for 3 gun we regularly have 400 yards, and NRA high power has 600. There are 1000 yard sniper and 50 bmg matches.
For some reason in No Cal they just don't go out that far for matches. The Central Coast, San Fran guys come down to our matches to tune up for big out of state matches like Superstition and the Ironman.
Nor Cal does have some decent pistol matches and pistol shooters.
yeah unfortunately they don't regularly do 3 gun and when they do it's 200 yards at the most. Actually much of it was precision shots at 100.
hey, SewCal gun creu.
where can i get some .40 ammo for a good price?
fuck that sounds so sick! 2 hour drive though... Best I've been to is the Chabot Gun club in castro valley.
any ranges in cali that'll let you rent out a burm for a day?
Burro Canyon in So Cal. It's in azusa. $60 for a berm but you need to make reservation in advance.
sounds good thanks.
