Got my VCDL news letter, there are students who wants to form a shooting club at GMU in Fairfax, VA and they are going to lobby for a range on campus! :eek3:

And next Monday students who are interested in CHP are going to shoot for the first time at Blue Bridge Arsenal in Chantilly, VA. VCDL is doing some good things here.

I helped start the only Sports Shooting Club in the UC System here in Merced. It took us almost 2 years to get approved, but we got it :coold:

I wonder if they'll open it to alums or even to public. I wouldn't mind going there to shoot.

Considering how expensive it is to build a range, it will help them financially to do so.

It will probably be 25 or 50 yards :sad2: In which case I will keep going to NRA unless it's free for alum :mamoru:

My guess is, it will be 25 yards pistols only. :squint:

Trying to get a Rifle Team set up at Washington and Jefferson College, but it also helps that the professor on campus who agreed to be our advisor is a former NRA director :bowrofl:

I'm hoping it works, but also coming up w/ 10k to start something like this is hard, esp at a liberal college :hsd:

We don't have shooting clubs, but we do have a trap/skeet team that travels and competes against different colleges in the state. Our Criminal Justice Fraternity also competes nationally, and got first last two years in a row.

Our campus has a 50ft. indoor pistol range underneath one of the older buildings. and a new triple trap range/skeet and fivestand range was built off of campus, but is joint owned by the Missouri Department of Conservation, but operated by the school. Decent prices, and it's the only thing within 25+ mins thats available to shoot.

Happy day, that was, when we found out about it.
And our advisors can now finally go to the range for club events and actually--gasp!--advise the club!
