A&P shooting an eclipse

    there's supposed to be a lunar eclipse visible tonight and i'd like to take some shots of it. i'm a total noob right now though. any tips for me would be appreciated.

    you'll need to go buy a 1200mm lens with a 2x extender if you want to even get a decent shot.

    ~400mm minimum, tripod, go nuts.

    you can do it with 300 but it will be pretty small :o

    I wish I had some longer glass, or at least a 2x teleconverter :o

    I feel ya. I brought out my kit lens and the pics were less than stellar, but if you saw it in real life, you can at least tell what's going on.
