Shoot my plan down please

    Right now I am 6'2" ~190lbs. Only problem is that most of that is fat.

    I would like to be around 175 and more tone. I can drop to 175 easy by not eating but I still look like a fatty so that doesn't really do me any good.

    My plan is to run 3 days a week and do some strength stuff the other days. My only problem is that I refuse to life weights. I am planning on starting at 1 mile running the first week (maybe 1.5) and plan on adding a quarter mile each week after that.

    I am mainly looking for advice on what to do for the other stuff. Push up and sit ups are the only things that I can really think of offhand and I have no idea how many / how many reps I should do.

    My main goals for right now are to get down to 175 and be able to run a 5k within 2 months. I think that should be achievable.

    wtf ur skinny as fuck.. hit up the weights, why u refusing to lift weights for.
    i'm 5'5 and 203..
    i ran a 5k in the first week i started cardio... a 5k shouldnt take you 2 months to prepare for...

    It's all fat.

    Lifting weights is not enjoyable to me. Last time I went to the gym I was having problems benchpressing somewhere around 80lbs.

    The running I'll agree with you I could probably do it fairly easily in a couple weeks, but my gf is gonna run with me and she wants to go at a slower pace.

    everyone gotta start somewhere man.. just cause u lifting light weights shouldn't mean you should be discouraged...

    seriously dude, get over yourself, lift weights along with the cardio and start progressing. Otherwise have fun going from skinnyfat 190 to skinnyfat 175 then making a new thread titled "how come my plan didn't work?" Figure out how to make it enjoyable or just sack up and do it anyway.

    Your plan contains no way to get away from skinnyfat. Therefore it fails at your own goals.

    5k is easy. HIIT one day for 30 mins. lift next day run 60 mins the next lift break run hiit break rinse repeat

    60 mins is fucking doable if you force yourself to do it and have an ipod.

    Then just quit, refusal to lift weights = you do nto ahve what it takes, and will never look good in al liklyhood. I doubt anyone here wants to help a person who will not lift.

    You plan sucks. Learn to like being skinnyfat IMO because you'll be staying that way unless you do some sort of resistance traning or crossfit or something.

    I'd rather lift light compared to the veterans than not lift at all.
