Do you work out in the same shoes that you run in? What kind of shoes and are you happy with them?

I just started running though I've been working out on a steady schedule for nearly 2 years. My feet hurt, I was pondering buying atleast one pair of shoes.

Yes, Asics GT-2110, happy; never any issues with running or leg work outs and I have mildly flat feet. I wear flip flops when not in the gym b/c I hate shoes.

one of the goals of mine is to train to run in a charity benefit run of some sort. I'm no marathoner by any means but given what I've over come sometimes its just fun to run :o

i work out in some reebok classics but I never run... if I did they might be ok because the sole is really soft, but I don't think they have decent arch support for most people (my arches are so solid i don't think it matters what i wear in that department... for me its more about soft sole to prevent my heel/ball from feeling bruised/sore). I do my cardio barefoot.
