I'm heading out to vegas next weekend and would like some suggestions on a pair of shoes to go clubbing in. I'll be going out in jeans so I don't want to wear dress shoes, but if someone thinks they know of a pair that works go ahead and post it.

I'm thinking a pair of nicer black sneakers with black soles like these CRs.

I hope you're joking. You're better off with some black chucks than those.

watch out some places are super strict, like no sneakers at all. just get some cheap rockports or aldos

I'd get a dress shoe. Aren't most places in vegas pretty dressy? :dunno:

sort of. most people are in collared shirts and jeans. i just dont like wearing dress shoes w/that especially when they have a shine to them. trying to find something that works with jeans.

I brought a pair of Johnston and Murphys casual lace ups, Mark Nasons, and chuck taylors on my trip to vegas. I never wore the converses to the clubs and went with the Mark Nasons or Johnston and Murphy's both a dressier shoe. If you wait an hour to get into XS you dont want the doorman to question your "look"

ya, ive decided to go with a more casual dress shoe if that makes any sense. its not worth risking the wait in line. thanks for the suggestions.

You almost picked the most plain looking pair of shoes possible. They are Oxfords too...not loafers...with shoelace on the thick side and a bit chunky shape overall. Sure you could have picked some frou frou Mark Nason crap, or some cheap shiny leather guido shoes and done worse, but these are definitely not optimal.

I went to Vegas with my two best friends, one of which is a military guy, and one guy is a nerdy kid that doesnt own anything but athletic shoes. We didnt get into one nice club in Vegas the first night we went there :o I had to let them borrow my nice dress shoes and clothes to go out the following night lol

If thats your first pair of dress shoes, dont buy them and just go out and wear them out the first night you wear them. You wont walk the next day from the blisters you'll get from em
