Are Koni's THAT much better than KYB'S? For the price that is. Or is there another brand to consider? Right now i'm leaning towards the KYB's.

Oh, this is for a street car not track or race.

My personal opinion, yes. Many other shocks are overlly to stiff. One thing the Koni's tend to be, is great on the rebound, where you want them to be.

You'd probably save money in the long run by going with the Koni's or HAL QA1's, however it sounds like you have no intentions on taking advantage of them. I have KYB's on all four corners, and have not been overly impressed with regards to street use (should have ponied up the extra dough to do it right in the first place). Bilstein seems to offer quality, non-adjustable shocks, that would provide more than decent street/track compromise. Good luck with your choice.
