    si i just got a sigma 100-300 f4-5.6 and i fucking hate it i think i an going to return it , its not sharp at full extention, here is a sample. what do you think

    variable aperature long zooms are rarely sharp

    Yeah that lens is best around 200mm. here's one of mine which is after USM

    its not terrible...sure its a bit soft but its mostly dark imo

    let me guess, hand held at around 1/125 second?


    use tripod - much more stable

    wrong 1/500, i have a tripod but its a pain to bring places

    it's hard to handhold shots at 200mm + :hs:

    anything handheld under 1/2000 of a second and at 300mm is going to be a pain in the ass...tripod is a MUST unless you have ungodly steady hands

    ya hi know i tried it with the tripod and it works better but its juat a pain draging it into the middle of the woods to get some wildlife shots, but i guess i have no choice, does anybody make a bag that will hold th ecamera 4 lenses and i tripod

    Depends which lenses you're comparing, which ranges, and what your definition of a lens being better than another one is. :hsugh:
