amt .380 backup pistol
I think AMTs are highly regarded. Of course, WMD will say it's shitty since it's not a Glock.
I'd rock that gun if I could find ammo for it.
.380 is weaksauce to begin with.
A gun is better than no gun.
It's better than throwing a rock.
I had one and smoothed everything out on it. I never could get it to run correctly but I never replaced the recoil spring. It's a neat little gun though if you can get it reliable. It will be loud though.
That's mad presidential
Actually I think AMT's had a reputation, at least in .45's, for not bein able to feed jhps, leading to names like "hardballer" for their pistols. I would say AMT's reputation is average if I were generous and probably less.
A j-frame is probably better in every way.
he said it's a "backup"
That is the name of the pistol, the .380 Backup.
.380 is pretty weak, pretty tough to find.
but i still wouldn't want someone to shoot me with one so if the price is right
would not rock
my father had one of those in the 80's/90's. i was pretty young back then but we used to shoot it alot and there was never a problem with it. i would actually like to pick one up for nostalgic reasons, but i probably wouldnt carry it.
My dad has one ... had it since I was a kid. He has an AMT .45 Hardballer and a 'matching' .380 Backup. Eventually they will be mine and will probably just sit in the box since I won't carry them or shoot them. I'll just keep them for nostalgia as well.
