In the Desert and it's blowing. The focus ring sounds a little scratchy. Is this something a camera store or tokina can fix?

On a side note the warming polarizer is outstanding! Deep blue skies and brilliant red mountains. It's like having a midget in my camera post processing in light room

Use it strictly for desert use, that way you wont notice it.

I don't mind a little noisy dirt. Pack that lens in a box and send it to me, bro. I'll take good care of it for you. :wavey: :x:

Just think of it as a secondary confirmation of focus.
Not that it has locked focus...but that, y'know, it's getting there.

does it make the sound only when you turn the focus ring
or when the camera auto focuses as well?

i'd get that shit looked at, you dont want sand clogging up the gears
    it'll eventually break :hs:

Can't tell on auto cuz the motor drowns it out

is it something I could send to tokina?

Hmm I guess I will call and ask them

Don't want to spend a fortune. Would be easier to use it until it breaks and have the warranty cover it. How many years is tokina?

Great Lens but can you believe in Moab Utah with all landscape shots I have used it maybe 10 percent. It's so wide it clutters shots. Tamron 17 50 does it so nice
