shouldn't be any issues. they just put a sticker on the box that says ARMD or something like that. but I don't live in IL.....I just don't think there is any state restrictions :dunno:

I've always understood that it's illegal to ship ammo via USPS. I just did a Google search and found lots of folks claiming it's illegal but no authoritative proof.
You DO have to apply the ORM-D sticker per DOT. That will alert every postal employee and they'll let you know.
A FOID card is an Illinois requirement and Illinois lacks jurisdiction over an out-of-state shipper. Most, but not all, companies that sell ammo ask to see a scan of your FOID just to be good "corporate citizens". Legally it's the responsibility of the recipient to follow Illinois law.

or you just send a box that doesn't have it on there. they're not going to know any different if it's coming from a private party and not a business

You'll probably get away with it but the ORM-D label IS a legal requirement. My neighbor works for the USPS and says they xray suspicious packages. Why take a chance. You could end up with a bunch or grief and probably end up without the ammo.

Hell, I don't know. The point was that they sometimes xray and so there is some risk involved. Why take a chance over a lousy sticker?

you's guy's don't understand how the USPS works. they're not a private company, and it's against the law for the government to open your mail without a warrant.

    UPS/FedEx on the other hand...

EDIT: I used to, and know people who still do (I don't do that stuff anymore), who get 4:20 delivered to their fucking homes on a WEEKLY basis and never get caught. And this is USPS.

Yea but they dont have to open it to xray it and its a felony offense, xraying weed wont show up as weed it would just show up as what looks like a plant

Pretty sure an xray of ammo is going to look like well ammo
