Our gym on base is being renivated, so we are running laps in this tiny ass gym and constantly turning. Just recenlty half way between my foot and knee, on the inside of my leg started hurting, more on the bone and hurts when I run. Can you get shin splints on the inside of your leg like that?

yes, streach and work that muscle, that is the only way to get rid of them.

keep on working up to it. You've most likely increased weight a little bit and your shins are adapting to the new load. Since jump roping my shin's can support my weight longer

ive posted this in all 5 of Chizzles shin splint threads [you postwhoring bastard :fawk:]

best thing to do is buy new shoes - with good arch support. It may not look like it, but chances are the shoes you are using now are done.

    -new shoes
    -ice after work outs
    -ibuprofin after workouts
    -stretch

Take a few of the smaller paper dixie cups and fill them 3/4 full of water and freeze them. Now when you are done with a good workout you can peel back the paper and ice your shins. it works better than a bag of ice.

Back off the running, stretch, ice, and make sure you're reversing the direction you run some of the time.
