    Hey,
Not too long ago, I started to get a lot of razor burns in the neck area. Now, how do you guys do to avoid this ? I'm always shaving after a shower.. and I'm taking my time.

in the neck area, do you start from the bottom toward the top or the opposite ?

    Thanks

    Sam

shave in the direction of hair growth
    use aftershave
make sure the blade is sharp
clean the blade after every stroke

I stopped shaving because of ingrowns, now I just trim to the skin, so I look like I always have a 5 o'clock shadow...it looks great on me, but those tips should help with razor burn

also, there is an oil that you can apply to your skin to help reduce the razor burn...khiels I think carrys it? maybe Zirh?

I started using Neutrigina (spelling ??) facial shaving soap and it has cut down the the razor burn. Its like $5 so its worth a shot.

I only get razor burn if I shave against the grain for 2 days in a row...now I made a plan, only shave against the grain on wednesdays...the other days just one or two strokes with the grain and call it a day...:) now more ingrowns and no more burn...now more ingrowns = less face touching hence less white heads :blue: so simple

I was thinking about that during a recent searh.
I was like "Damn, it must suck to be mamoru. Search function is pretty much useless"

Ah well.... the price to pay to be OT-famous.

Has it been really humid? That causes it. I ust got a new razor.

I just bought a new razor -- braun activator 8595. It rocks -- best shave I've ever gotten from an electric shaver -- and no razor burn. Although for the $175 I paid for it -- it better be good. Check it out at http://www.braun.com/na/products/shavinggrooming/dryshaving/dryshaving/activator.html

I've actually never had a problem shaving against the grain on my neck. As a rule, I always put on anti-acne cream (Neutrogena's On-The-Spot cream) 5 minutes after shaving, and I haven't had any breakouts since starting with that.
