stop shaving against the grain, first time i done it every hair was ingrown i think, had all these sus pimple type things there, eventually (2 weeks or so) it was gross, but have never had a problem yet shaving with the grain, from top to bottem obviously.. its not as close a shave, but i did prefer it to ingrowns..

    good luck

    Another reality apparently
shave slow, keep the razor sharp, and be delicate. Let the razor do the work and dont push into your skin.

Also use a good shaving gel. Bikini Zone works great for sensitive skin. Also over time your skin will toughen up a bit and it won't be so bad.

you can always try trimming neatly instead of shaving completely.

rub some stick deodorant (nothing fancy, just some regular powder stuff) over the area for a few days. relieves itch and ingrowns.

Are you sure they are ingrown hairs and not just razor burn?

Try taking a 10 minute bath or soak beforehand. I find a hot bat that gets the sweat going works best. After you soak, some recommend to put conditioner on the area for a few minutes and then proceed to shave. I used to get some irritation and red spots here and there but after I started doing this, no more!

Seriously. It is hell. I wish there was a way of getting rid of hair and NOT having to deal with it's regrowth and the awful awful effects.

I exfoliate, I put on minimising cream and it still doesn't remove the issue :(

It's rather crude, but I sometimes resort to picking at the recently-shaven hairs with a needle. I make sure they aren't headed into the skin.

Today I had a nasty ingrown that I picked out with a needle. It was a bit freaky sticking a needle into the skin at the base of my cock at first, but I got used to it over time. It's better than having an ingrown getting all painful and infected down there.

i have terrible ingrown hairs.. to a point when not only do they get infected but i have to go to the doc and get it removed.. i finally gave up with shaving.. i trim it meh.. but the reason why some people have issues is because when you shave it makes the hair REALLY super sharp.. and can cut the skin around it and if you have sensitive skin it can cause issues.. you can try waxing.. i have used Veet a few times with good results.. you have to leave it on a bit longer however.
