So I haven't shaved my face in over a year. Grew a 'pre-wedding' beard. You know, like a hockey playoff beard, but for the wedding...

I've kept it nice and trimmed, so I don't look like a moron, but with the wedding a few weeks away, I figure it's time to kill it.

The question is, Razor or electric? Should I go with a good electric, or stick with the Mach 3 or whatever it is that they have out now?

Which one would irritate less? Is there any reason not to go with the more convienent electric?

These are the things that keep me up at night...

    thanks!

Trim it down real short with an electric trimmer then shave if you don't want your skin irritated.

    EDIT: WTFHealthandfitness?

Go to a barber for a shave with a straight razor. I've heard there's nothing quite like it.

Trim with electric first so the hairs dont pull out and give you ingrown hairs. :o

    His face! Fucking OW!:eek3:

Just cut it all down as short as you can get it with a beard or head trimmer, then shave w/ a mach III. I started shaving with the grain on one pass, then a quick re-lather and shaving against. Smooth as a babys behind. Saw it in one of the shaving threads in the main forum. :dunno:

Once now a week and then a day before the wedding... Personally if I shave daily my skin gets irritated, and if I grow out my hair for a month or two and then shave, I end up with 10 zits on my face that I didn't even realize existed. Best to avoid both and keep the shaving moderatly frequent.
