My girlfriend is letting me shave her "down there" for the first time (she shaves herself...this is the first time I'm doing it to her). I picked up a bikini line shaver from adameve.com (link) for this. As this is an electric razor, I shouldn't use shaving cream, right? What about after I'm done shaving? Should I use a lotion? Anything to stay away from?

She has issues with ingrown hair infections...any way I can avoid those?

And yes, once I'm done shaving her, I'm going to do all kinds of things to her :naughty:

Dunno. My gf uses a regular razor. My ex waxed herself.

    wax sounds so painful.

My bf and I were planning on doing the shaving thing the last time that we got together, but we ran out of time.

I unfortunately have no advice for you becuase shaving yourself is completely different than shaving someone else.

But I do use a regular razor, the venus disposables to be exact.

well this post is a little different than that one which I replied to before (thanks for quoting that btw), because you said she has been shaving for a while already. But the advice is still basically the same.

BTW: I don't have any experience with an electric razor but the thought makes me cringe... there is no way in HELL that I would use an electric razor down there.

Straight razors are not for noobs ... there are far to many places that you can cut her and a straight razor will go through her tender bits like butter.

Get your self a good disposable and use lots of shaving cream ... one pass then clean razor and if you go over that area again reapply more shaving cream

I used nair ... and then trimmers and then just a bic for the finish ... worked out nicely. Of course i'm sure it wasn't the best way :)

yeah that razor you bought sucks...

are you shaving her from like an overgrow, or is she at a full bush and letting you shave her totally?

either way i'd let her take a bath first, the warm water helps open the pores and soften the hair...this will help with razor burn.

then i'd do any trimming of long hair with a beard trimmer. After that use a nice razor (Mach 3, Fusion etc...) and plenty of lube. A nice shaving gel with aloe could help as well.

Do reduce razor burn try to take less strokes with the razor.

and i wouldn't put any lotion or anything on her afterwards because lotion can clog pores and cause more bumps!

    have fun!

Are you serious? If I had rash issues.. i would try that.

Definitly becareful. If you are shaving the ENTIRE thing, just becareful.

I use a Mach 3 razor. And I shave down with the hairs first. Then I shave up to get that smoothness. I don't get razor burn or ingrown hairs... but some people wouldn't shave up... I do.
