I need some advise.. My site is just maxing out a hostgator shared server.. They are trying to push me into a dedicated server now.. Seriously, from $14 a month to $180 a month. I am just maxing out their very low shared server limitations.. Nothing near needing a dedicated server.. Has anyone seen any hosting companys offering something like semi shared servers at a better price? Right now I would guess there are 100 sites on a hostgator shared server. Maybe somewhere that has 10 sites on a server for $75 a month? Anyone have any advise? Thanks

Get a cheaper dedicated server from aplus.net ~$60, or you can get a virtual server (semi dedicated) ~ 35$ from godaddy.com. Which specs are you maxing out?

In on this thread too since i'm maxing out my hosts biggest shared plan.. :/

Nothing local is decent/affordable, so will probably go with a recommended US host.

Don't use GoDaddy for hosting.. I've heard bad things about them terminating service over minor things, like unfounded and unproven accusations of illegal content, etc.

VPS is probably what you're looking for.
