I noticed personal care questions being placed here and I figured this would be the appropriate place as well.

I am looking for a shampoo that I can get at a local drug store that will not dry my hair out. Shampoo's like herbal essence, garnier, and even aussie dry it out, it becomes like dry hay almost as soon as I rinse it out, tangled up and becomes a mess. Then I always have to use conditioner.

Are there any shampoos for dry hair, that I can get over the counter, that won't over dry my hair out?

I know they have those "shampoos for dry hair" shampoos, but I don't really know if they're gentle enough.

    Opinions?

I don't shampoo my hair too often cuz of that.:o It gets super dry and puffy. My hair looks better after a couple days of no shampooing and it's kind of greasy. A girl suggested skipping the shampoo and just putting conditioner to make it more manageable. Gotta give it a shot.
