Just be "that guy" and stand directly in front of the rack while you are shrugging! Walking problem solved!

Mine do too. More so if I squat before deadlifting. So I'd say maybe weak quads?

Actually I changed my mind. My family has a history of diabetes, so I am going with that instead.

Mike, if I remember correctly you don't squat because of your hips right? Yet you have a decent deadlift...which means you are definitely ham-dominant. I have the same issue.....can't squat because of my left knee.

We have too much in common :wtc:

Anyways, maybe you actually are imbalanced to the point that it is causing you to shake like that? I don't have that problem.....yet.....so I don't know for sure, but it would certainly make sense.

I'd say warming up and taking 9 maximal attempts is work.

They're pretty darn close to the same lift. Lots of guys train sq/dl together. I do. For some stupid reason people think deadlift is back and squats are legs. If you think you can deadlift without legs, or squat without back, show me.

Yeah but you've competed. Work sets are way less taxing than a meet. Hell, I get pretty wiped just from bench only meets, full meets aren't any better! Part of it is the competition psych. I don't expect anyone who hasn't competed to understand.

I see what you're saying, but in the same breath I have to say you are stretching it saying they are almost the same lift.

But yeah, you'd have to be stupid to say that deadlifting is all back, shit the only part of my that is ever sore after a heavy pull day are my glutes and hammies.

how does the shake feel? is it like the one you get after you have a good workout and your arm shakes?

only problem i have with SLDL or bent over row's is that sometimes i lose my balance or start getting pulled foward by the weight..
