Get it while it's hot, bitches.

    LIGHTWEIGHT BABY (click here)

Just ignore the watermark in the right corner, that showed up when I used some shitty trial program to compress it because the original file was 26 megs. This one is considerably smaller.

    Good form, looked awesome.

Do you like doing a real wide stance more so than anything else?

Just had to do it in quicktime format eh?

Can anyone put it in mpeg or wmv format? I am stuck with a work laptop for another 6 weeks and I can't install software or codecs on it (my personal computer is roughly 3000 miles away).

yeah it was only a matter of time before someone decided to be a douche and try to discount the lift due to straps

if i actually gave a shit id give you a 495x3 with no straps....but i just dont give a fuck

why do you use straps if your grip is good enough to do without?

focus more on muscle contractions...so i dont have to worry about grip period...because im not competing in a powerlifting competition.

sumo = hips, hamstrings, adductors, lower abs.....pretty much in that order.

As far as form goes (i wont even mention the straps :) )

you need to pull faster once you sit down, IE set your wraps while standing up bent over the bar, then set your feet, then take a huge breath into your stomache, then dip and rip.....you'll get a lot more out of the stretch reflex that way.

You are leaning back way too much on the first two, that can hurt your back so be careful, locked out is all that is required for a good lift.

I would experiment with different foot angles, for more or less hip and ham involvement until you find where you are strongest. Some people pull best in a hybrid stance, some in full sumo.

Oh....dimmel deads for the win bro. Strengthen the lockout b/c you seem to have no problem coming off the floor.

At your size, with maybe a pair of briefs and a good deadlift bar, I see a 3x bw dead in the near future.....that is fucking awesome

To me its personal preference, I pulled sumo for a while then switched to conventional and my numbers jumped up. I just found conventional easier and it suited me better.

Some people have better results pulling sumo, I wouldn't say one is better or worse than the other.

here is the breakdown in the powerlifting world:

the best pullers in the world pull conventional/oly hybrid....event the superheavies. Usually this is because those guys were born to dl, genetically they were built for it.

Guys who are good wide squatters almost always pull sumo a) because you get more out of equipment and b) because it is essentially a hanging front squat if done right. A lot of the lard ass pl's find it easier to get to the bar this way too.

I use both in training because they both serve a purpose. I firnly belive that a hybrid stance sumo is one of the best ways to build speed out of the blocks for a sprinter. Better than squats by far.

    less back involvement pulling sumo

hybrid is just a narrower version of sumo

and if you pull sumo it gives you an opportunity to do gm's that day so no it wont hurt progress. In other words it is not a replacement for deadlifts.

If you want something that will place more emphasis on the lower back, pull with a snatch grip once or twice.
