Starting at only $150k. Is this the stereo that blows clothes off of chics?
for that price it better come with every song ever made on a hard drive in perfect audio quality and be able to cook me breakfast.
Damn I wonder how that sounds?
well their pianos are pretty ballin so their speakers should be pretty intense
You may as well ask Steinway if it sounds good.
...not to say it doesn't....
i hate how most magazines never come down on anyone, they just say how good something is without being very critical, i used to subscribe to stereophile and every review they have sounds the same.
the only mag i actually find good reviews in is Maximum PC.
people need to start keeping it real.
^^True, but man that would be cocky to have in your house. I'm sure for the price though you could get a pretty comparable 5.1 setup couldn't you?
I doubt Steinway had much to do with the design. They do know how to do a mean piano black finish, however.
weighing in the laws of diminishing returns i find ultra exotic speaker systems to be out of the realm of realistic price points. its like buying a 500+ dollar pen.
for myself i wouldnt spend much over 5k for a set of speakers or a component.
I think if you had the means, you certainly would. There is a lot of over-priced bullshit in the high-end, but listening to Wilson X-2's in a custom designed room was a religious experience for me. The room was at least as big a factor as the speakers, but goddamn they sound incredible.
i dont know what id be doing if i had that kind of money, i like to seek efficieny though.
like if i wanted a track car and i could afford an enzo, id rather have an ariel atom.
i think the only time id get something like the x-2s was if i was rollin in hundreds of millions of dollars.
I would really like to hear that bitch. But I would NEVER buy it.
