Does anyone have a link to a good FAQ on how to do this?

I'm not looking to play burned wii games,What I want to do is be able to download torrents of wiiware and virtual console games to play. From what I've gathered, this requires installing a homebrew channel and once you do that you're pretty much good to go.

Is the homebrew channel something totally different than playing burned wii games? Or is it pretty much once you do one you can do everything?

Basically I want to do this so I can get the Final Fantasy The After Years torrent floating around that has all of the Downloadable Quests....since they're not even all out yet.

I dont even know where to begin. If anyone can help that would be amazing!!
    Thanks!

Is it really this simple? Or is there something I would have to do before doing this?

Its mad simple. I had all that shit on a 3.2U firmware, along with a wiikey2.

Today i updated the console to 4.0 so i could play the newer games, and so my gf would stop bitching about being able to play ea wii active.

I downloaded the required shit from guides i read over at wiihacks.com ( which by the way, i would recommend going over to their forums and reading some of their guides and downloaded their files ).

Took me like 2 minutes to copy the shit to the sd card. Popped it into the wii and ran it from the HBC and presto. 4.0 wii ready to go.

btw this guide worked great for me

    http://www.gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=144835

I updated to 4.0 and then followed the offline section of this guide guide

once you get homebrew chan installed then all you do is load the wad manager which comes with the files on the guide, and download the wad of Final fantasy to your SD card and install it

then it will appear on your channels

Yeah its weird...somehow someone got their hands on everything....6 quests and 2 extra ones...only 1 of them has been officially released so i dont know how that happened. but I definitely want it.

I'll take a look at that info hopefully I can pull it off. Thanks!

So I looked into the instructions and it looks like you have to run a prepare.bat file? Is that done on the wii or right on the computer? If it's something you do on the computer - i might be out of luck because that's a PC file - and I'm on a mac....

Anyone know if you can do get the files prepared on a mac? Or can I have someone else do this for me then send me the files?
