I'm trying to use WordPress with AdSense, but I can't seem to figure out where to place my Google Ads. I find a plugin to get it placed in one location, but it was an accident. I tried clicking on one (it was actually something I was interested in). I don't know how many clicks it takes to actually generate any revenue at all. I saw the EDU for some other methods of making money from websites, but I didn't see one for AdSense. Can anyone give me any tips? Thanks a lot. Also, what are channels?

DO NOT click your own links. AdSense will disable your acct if you do it.

I know, I did it once to see if it was working, I wasn't doing it to try and make myself money.

I think that was the very first rule for AdSense. If they didn't have that rule, I'd probably just set up a bot to auto click them lol

Same. But to get your post back on track, I have never set up AdSense with Wordpress before.

And are you asking for a strategic way to put ads on the site? Or how to actually put them there?

What if you click on the ads at work or some place with a different IP? Would they know?

Exactly. There is nothing worse than coming to a new site and see it laden with ads. Makes you think they are there to make money first, then provide good content later. Also makes you not wanna go back.

Building a website to make money is like nuturing an infant lol (terrible analogy I know)

I'm not looking to cover it with ads. I'm looking to place one strip on each page. I know the limit is 3, but I'm not interested in that. Also I'm looking to actually put the AdSense code in, but I've been through so many include files and I can't find anywhere the entry is being pulled from the database to be displayed on the page. If anyone knows, that would be helpful.

Also, is there an approximate dollar-per-clicks average?

it also takes a while to register the clicks, but it should register the clicks and then tell you how much you have made

    3,445 359 10.42% $28.74 $99.01

it really depends on the wordpress template

some have adsense set up on the page and you go in and edit it to add your info, other times you have to play around with the page and figure where you want it displayed

pm if you don't want to post it and maybe i can help

i am running 3 sites with adsense running o wordpress
