Service pack 1 for vista

    I heard it was coming soon.. Do i still need to d/l it if im getting all the automatic updates on my computer already??

    I would think it would be included in Windows update, so you should be good.

    Any official date on this yet? I want to try out vista again but I said I wouldn't do it until SP1 came out for it.

    It's out now.

    I read the Paul Thurrott writeup on it, just the other day.

    Mainly it's the usual suspects of security updates, etc.

    The only thing I could tell that is a real difference, is that the service pack

    makes it easier for the antivirus people to work with Vista.

    They didn't do anything with the constant use of resources and harddrive accessing? Those are the only issues I have with Vista.

    Been using it for a while, Beta anyways. I rather enjoy it.. all the little annoyances associated with build 6000 have been resolved [for me] anyways.

    Did they fix the explorer bug where it randomly decides some folders contain pictures and sets the details view for pictures instead of the more traditional details view? I know how to fix it but its still a pain when it randomly does that.

    The Beta is out but i dont think it actually comes out until jan or feb. I have vista and i dont ahve it
